WORLD EXPO 2010
World Expo in Shanghai is expected to be the world's largest
exhibition to date, with more than 200 participating countries and organizations.
Sweden is participating with its own pavilion, funded by government and industry
with 70 million each. The overall theme for the World Expo is "Better City,
Better Life" and Sweden's participation is based on.
Annika Rembe, Commissioner General of the Committee for Sweden's participation in Expo 2010, has been invited as one of the few international speakers to the 7th World Expo 2010 Shanghai China Forum in Beijing on 12 November.
The theme of the summit is "Harmonious Community: Urban-Rural Integration".
The main objective of the Summit is to continue discussions about the World Expo and urban development throughout the world based on three dimensions - sustainable urbanization, different urban cultures and the World Expo's values must evolve. Scientists, business leaders and representatives from many countries and international organizations have been invited to speak, discuss and find solutions to the challenges people face around the world - and to design the future of the World Expo.
